Jason H. Throne Member

Jason H. Throne, Esq. is a member of Marshall Grant, PLLC and focuses his practice in the areas of real estate law, mortgage banking and foreclosure law. Mr. Throne is licensed to practice law in both Florida and Connecticut and spent the first three years of his legal career working in Stamford, CT with high-profile criminal defense attorney, Mickey Sherman. Upon returning to Florida, he joined the securities defense litigation group at Greenberg Traurig in West Palm Beach, Florida. There, Mr. Throne defended financial institutions in NASD and NYSE arbitration and civil court actions, and conducted branch office investigations for corporate policy and industry regulation compliance.

Mr. Throne subsequently developed his practice in real estate and commercial loan transactional work providing title services and counsel to the local residential and banking community. He has spent the last several years litigating commercial cases and creditor disputes, including hundreds of mortgage banking and foreclosure cases throughout the state, while providing loan default resolution and settlement negotiation counseling to his clients. Mr. Throne’s extensive background has allowed him to cater to the diverse needs of his transactional clients while providing a viable solution when a client’s rights require protection and enforcement. As a result, Mr. Throne often handles a wide variety of complex civil and commercial litigation matters for the firm, including business and contract disputes, real estate litigation, commercial and residential landlord/tenant disputes, foreclosure/loan default resolution and litigation, as well as commercial and residential real estate closings.

Mr. Throne was born and raised in South Florida and moved to Boca Raton in 1983 where he now resides with his wife and two young children. Mr. Throne graduated from The Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law where he competed nationally on the Trial Team and served as an Assistant Prosecutor with the Alachua County State Attorney’s Office. In 1999, he was admitted to the Florida Bar. Mr. Throne most recently completed the Leadership Boca program for the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, and currently serves as President of the 2012 Class.
